Overlooking the English Channel and just 20 yards from the seafront, the 3-star Best Western York House Hotel offers 76 rooms ranging from small doubles to four-poster suites with sea views. The Verandah Bar & Restaurant serves modern British cuisine alongside panoramic coastal views, while the indoor heated pool is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Located 300 meters from Eastbourne Pier and a 10-minute walk from the town center, the hotel provides easy access to Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park for walking and cycling. The Verandah Restaurant at Best Western York House Hotel includes a wine selection to complement meals, and rooms feature free high-speed Wi-Fi, work desks, and tea/coffee facilities. Function spaces accommodate groups of 10 to 150, with tailored packages for weddings and conferences.

Pros

The seafront location provides direct access to a 6.4 km promenade and scenic walks at Beachy Head.

The indoor heated pool is available year-round for guests.

Rooms include practical amenities like work desks, tea/coffee facilities, and free Wi-Fi.

The Verandah Restaurant offers a selection of wines with meals, including locally sourced options.

Cons

Limited on-site parking requires reliance on nearby metered or street parking.

Some rooms may not have sea views, despite the coastal location.

“Best Western York House Hotel's location on Eastbourne Seafront is a real draw, placing you within easy reach of the pier and town centre. I particularly like the convenience of on-site parking and the indoor pool, a definite plus. From what I gather, the staff are consistently helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere.”
